Tanzanian natural unheated Tanzanite. This material is amongst the finest we have had for a long time and will change to an excellent colour after heat treatment. It is best to first preform the stone and then heat treat to 600 Centigrade, before facetting. These stones are pleochroic, that is, they display three colours, strong yellow-brown, purple-pink and blue. Being a pleochroic stone, please note these colours are very difficult to capture with the camera. We have done our best! The stone has an excellent cobbed shape and will give a great recovery weight wise. This stone has a natural blue/purple colour.
